George Guest (1939-2012) was born in Yorkshire, England and studied at the Rotherham School of Art and the Camberwell School of Art. In 1971, Guest moved to rural Oxfordshire from London which was a such a huge change for him that it made a powerful visual and emotional impact on him. He ended up leaving his successful career as a commercial lithographer and committed himself entirely to traditional painting and printmaking.
His work has been exhibited worldwide.
